In Search Of… is the title of my debut photobook, a collection of personal and professional portraiture from the last five years. This book chronicles my journey as a self-taught photographer, exploring the nuances of film photography, primarily using medium format film. It reflects the trial-and-error process that shaped my style and unique vision—constantly in search of what makes my work special and how to continue pushing those boundaries.
The photobook will feature a mix of previously seen and new work, accompanied by written reflections on lessons learned, mistakes made, and the risks taken along the way. These moments of introspection will offer readers an intimate glimpse into my evolution as an artist.
Adding a new layer of depth, In Search Of… will also be paired with an original music extended play (EP) that I’ve personally crafted. Collaborating with various producers and engineers, the music blends ambient sounds, experimental hip-hop, and R&B to create a sonic experience that complements the visual storytelling. A QR code inside the book will give readers direct access to the EP, merging the two mediums into a cohesive experience.
To celebrate the release, I will be hosting two gallery shows—my first-ever solo exhibitions—one in New York City and one in Los Angeles. These shows will run for three days each, featuring large prints of select works from the book, with copies of the photobook available for purchase. Throughout the event, the new music will provide an immersive backdrop, allowing attendees to experience the full creative spectrum of In Search Of….
